Biography
Cherokee Carr doesn’t remember a time when stories weren’t a part of her life. As a child, she found them everywhere—in the pages of books, in the worlds her imagination created, and in the stories she began writing long before she knew where they would lead. Storytelling wasn’t simply something she enjoyed; it became the language through which she understood the world.
That same passion eventually grew beyond the written page. Through painting, she discovered another way to tell stories without words. Inspired by the realism and symbolism of the Renaissance, she creates landscapes that invite viewers to pause, wonder, and ask what happened before the moment they see—or what comes next. Every painting, every book, and every piece of jewelry she creates is rooted in the belief that art should stir curiosity and leave room for imagination.
Originally from Rochester, New York, and now living in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, she continues to pursue creativity through writing, fine art, and design. Earning an Associate’s degree in Multimedia Graphic Design gave her the technical foundation to develop her craft, but her greatest education has come from remaining teachable, embracing constructive criticism, and staying true to the unique voice God has given her.
